Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) 

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) provides eligible households with a discount on broadband service and connected devices. The ACP used to be called Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB Program) 


Infrastructure Act (2022) 

The Infrastructure Act directed the Commission to effectuate specified changes for the ACP, e.g. program eligibility criteria, the program benefit amount, and the Commission adopted final rules for the ACP on January 14, 2022.The Infrastructure Act also authorized the Commission to conduct outreach for the ACP, including providing grants to outreach partners. Between 2022-2023 the commission published five reports and orders, with each adding services and reporting requirements.

Net neutrality is back on the menu, citizens. ...the FCC is set to reinstate rules that broadband providers must treat all traffic equally, giving no sweetheart deals to business partners or their own services.

Deadlines for ACP

Claims for February 2023 Data Month Due by September 1 

Providers must submit and certify original claims or revisions for the February 2023 data month (snapshot taken on March 1, 2023) by 11:59 p.m. ET on September 1, 2023. As a reminder, the 6-month filing period for claims began with the March 2022 data month. Original claims or upward revisions submitted or certified after 11:59 p.m. ET on September 1, 2023, for the February 2023 data month will not be accepted. For more information on the claims deadline, providers can refer to the bulletin USAC released on September 15, 2022
