Position Details

This is a 16 week experience which runs the entire academic semester. The Spring 2026 internship will run from January 5, 2026 through May 12, 2026.
The weekly work schedule will be determined by the requirements of the intern's home institution. The work schedule is largely flexible and asynchronous but does require at least one virtual, synchronous meeting per week during regular business hours (8am - 5pm).
Duties will include staffing the reference chat service, reading assigned literature, weekly meetings with internship supervisor and library staff members, constructing research guides, infographics, tutorials, and lesson plans. Specific projects will be assigned according to the needs of the department and the interests of the intern.
Interns must be participating in an MLS/MLIS graduate program at an ALA accredited institution. Interns must be registered for their school's practicum/internship course or have written permission from their advisor prior to participating in the internship. Interns must have reliable access to the internet, a functioning computer, a webcam, a microphone, and the ability to download third-party software, tools, and applications as needed.
The application will open on November 10, 2025 and close on December 1, 2025 for the Spring 2026 semester. The application will only be accessible during this time period.
