The library makerspace has four sewing machines (Baby Lock Zeal), one embroidery machine (Brother NS2750D), and one serger (Brother 1034D).
Read more below to get information on how you can get started.
The Makerspace has one sewing machine and an embroidery machine out in the space. If you would like to sew at another table or if the other sewing machine is in use feel free to take one from shelf or ask makerspace staff. You are free to set up at any of the tables but equipment must stay in the Makerspace.
Makerspace staff can guide you through winding a bobbin and threading the machine, setting the tension and basic general use of the machine. Staff is not able to teach you how to sew. We will from time to time have workshops and classes that will teach some basic beginner skills.
If you would like more info on basics and how to sew check to the resources below. Also be sure to check out personal enrichment classes from Central Piedmont.
