Library Hours

Online Materials and Tools

CPCC Libraries have plenty of digital materials available for you if you can’t make it to campus to pick up physical items.

Have other remote needs? Need ideas for how the Libraries can help you off-campus? Send your comments to us.

While the library is closed, reserve textbooks will be unavailable. If you need access to your textbooks, try the following sources:

  • VitalSource:  Create an account, and then select the "Explore" tab. This will provide access to hundreds of textbooks made available for free during the duration of the COVID-19 quarantine.
  • Redshelf:  Search for the title of your textbook and you may be able to access it electronically.
  • Cengage: If your textbook is published by Cengage (check with your instructor) you can get access by following the directions available here

If you are unable to find your textbook from these sources, please reach out to your instructor.

Overdue Books?

Have some books that are due back to the library? Don't worry! Library staff will be renewing all currently checked out items, and waiving all late fees until the college returns to its regular schedule.

Faculty Information

A librarian can be embedded in your Blackboard shell. This librarian will be a personal point of contact for you and your students. Embedded librarians can post announcements, respond to discussions, embed Research Guides and share information with students in your courses. Your embedded librarian will work with you to determine the best ways they can assist you and your students to ensure they have seamless access to library resources for your course.

To get started, fill out the embedded request form or contact Garrison Libby at

Additionally, please be aware that students who rely on the Library's textbook reserves may have limited opportunity to come to campus and read required chapters. Consider incorporating material from some of our online databases that may provide students with relevant information that can be accessed freely from home.
