How to Import Library Quizzes in Brightspace

First, download the quiz zip file linked on this page.

 Follow the steps below to import quiz in Brightspace: 

  1. Go to Course Tools > Course Admin > Import / Export / Copy Components 

  1. Select "Import Components" and check "from a course package," click "Start" 

  1. Upload the quiz zip file, click "Import All Components" 

  1. When the import completes, you are given the option to "View Contents," however this only leads you to a screen that says "Welcome!"  

  1. To check if the quiz has successfully imported, check Course Tools > Quizzes 

You may need to adjust student visibility settings for some of the imported quizzes.

MLA 9 Quiz

This tutorial and quiz contains 10 multiple choice and true/false questions to assess students' understanding of MLA guidelines. These include formatting in-text citations, works cited entries, and general formatting. (We realize that the new iteration is MLA 9, but there were no substantive changes in the update). *Please note that the zip file contains both a tutorial and a quiz for students.

APA 7 Quiz

This tutorial and quiz also contains 10 multiple choice and true/false questions to assess students' understanding of APA guidelines. These include formatting in-text citations, references entries, and general formatting. *Please note that the zip file contains both a tutorial and a quiz for students.

Plagiarism Quiz

The Central Piedmont libraries' Plagiarism tutorial and quiz is designed to assess students' understanding of the topic and their ability to avoid it. Through a combination of 10 multiple choice and true/false questions, this quiz aims to educate and raise awareness about the importance of maintaining academic integrity and the use of ethical practices in research, writing, and information usage. *Please note that the zip file contains both a tutorial and a quiz for students.

SIFT Method Quiz (Information Evaluation)

The SIFT Method is a series of actions someone can take in order to determine the validity and reliability of claims and sources on the web. Each letter in "SIFT" corresponds to one of the "Four Moves": S - Stop; I - Investigate the source; F - Find better coverage; T - Trace claims, quotes, and media to the original context. This tutorial and 5-question quiz introduces students to the concept of reading, viewing, or listening effectively before consuming information online. *Please note that the zip file  contains both a tutorial and a quiz for students.
