ESL Classes

LEARN ENGLISH AT CENTRAL PIEDMONT COMMUNITY COLLEGE!

Enroll in the College and Career Readiness English as a Second Language (ESL) program if you would like to learn English or improve your English language skills without earning college credit. ESL is available at the Cato, Central, Harper, and Levine Campuses. International students attending Central Piedmont on an F-1 visa cannot participate in College and Career Readiness ESL.

ESL Plus combines English language learning with career readiness skills for advanced ESL students.

Excited about learning a new language?! The Library is here to help you with your learning process.

In all of our six locations you can find:

  • Around 400 items for language learning that includes books, eBooks, audiobooks, and DVDs.
  • Basic Reads section with around 300 books appropriate for new English readers.
  • Databases like Transparent Language, Films on Demand, PrepSTEP, and Testing & Education Reference Center (TERC).
  • Computer labs with printing, scanning, and copying capability.
  • Laptops and calculators available for 4 hours.
  • Study Rooms available for 2 hours a day per student.
  • Coffee and food near the library. (Central campus only)
  • Quiet and common areas for study.
