Why Ethics Matter and What Establishes Ethical Behavior
Example: Let’s start with an example of unethical behavior.
“A CEO, in a companywide online video meeting, promises that he will assist with a program personally to move forward a program, including recognition certificates for announced awards never delivered at the annual awards ceremony. Two weeks later, that same CEO in an interview claims that he never said that he will investigate it.” Beside incompetence, this behavior claimed accountability but denied responsibility at the same time, which is also unethical.
People look for acts of trust on a daily basis at work, school, church, and in our personal relationships. Unethical behaviors are founded on acts of mistrust, lies, and the lack of follow through on their commitments. Free will, academic rules and expectations, and morality are what we use to answer the question of what is ethical. If you follow campus academic rules and expectations, you have a guide for a great start in establishing your ethical behavior form and maintain trust.
Webster’s Dictionary: artificial intelligence, unethical, accountable, and responsible
“[Artificial Intelligence has] the capability of computer systems or algorithms to imitate intelligent human behavior.”
“[An unethical person is] not guided by or showing a concern for what is right. An unethical attorney, he had no qualms about getting off clients who he knew were guilty.”
“[T]he quality or state of being accountable...[demonstrates] an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions.”
“[T]he quality or state of being responsible...[means having] a...moral, legal, or mental accountability.”
“Ethics is knowing the difference between
what you have a right to do and what is right to do.”

Three Tasks: Proofreading, Bibliography creation, and book report creation

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a broad field of computer science that uses algorithms, data, and computational power to enable machines to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. AI systems can learn and improve through exposure to large amounts of data, and can identify patterns and relationships. As AI use grows across all sectors of business, organizations are investing heavily in AI research and development to stay competitive and prepare for future adoption. Additionally, as AI continues to advance, the need for skilled professionals to develop, implement, and maintain AI systems will grow exponentially.
