Report aim & structure O
ur fourth Cybersecurity Attitudes and Behaviors, Oh Behave! 2024-2025 report aims to provide a comprehensive international snapshot of people’s cybersecurity attitudes and behaviors across representative global samples. No guesswork or speculation here. Just a global pulse check on how real, actual people think and act.
Workforce. Covered.
Of the 7,000+ respondents, the majority are employees somewhere. This is important because the more we understand about employees’ behaviors, the better we can help them behave safely. We built on the last three years’ findings and focused on five critical security behaviors: 1. Ensuring password hygiene
1 • Password creation habits—specifically, password length, use of personal information and single dictionary words • Using separate passwords
2 • Password management techniques3 2. Using multi-factor authentication (MFA)4
3. Installing the latest software updates5
4. Backing up data6
5. Checking messages for signs of phishing7 and reporting them8
Affordability Connectivity Program and the Community Discussion in Higher Education:
Students of all kinds are asked to use digital technologies to create classroom assignments and to participate in every aspect of being a student. However, not all students have the same access to computers and internet services. When the Affordable Connectivity Program recently announced they have 20 million subscribers, the pressure to extend this program has become greater. Knowing how to apply and get the most out of the program is key to having a great home and mobile digital experience. This panel will discuss what the best practices are for obtaining access to the ACP services and also offer ways higher education can support the continuation of this opportunity from campus..
PANELISTS:
N. Betancur, Deputy Director, Center for Digital Equity
AJ Kirby, Education Superhighway, Marketing Manager
