Student Library Equipment

SEMESTER-LONG EQUIPMENT 

Chromebooks and hotspots will be available for checkout for Spring 2024 semester on January 8, 2024.

Chromebooks and WiFi Hotspots checked out are due back at the end of the semester. 

• Equipment listed below will be available at all Central Piedmont Library Locations (scroll down for hours).
• Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. You must come to a physical library location to request and pick up an item.
• Please bring your College ID to check out a device. If you do not have a College ID, please bring a photo ID and know your College ID number

4-HOUR EQUIPMENT:

• All graphing calculators will check out for 4 hours at a time.
• The library will also have a limited supply of Chromebooks available for 4-hour checkout at each Library location. 
• Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

CCR CLASSES:

• If you are taking a CCR class (ESL, GED, I-LEAD, or Adult High School) and need a device, please visit any campus library.

CMS STUDENTS:

• If you are a Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools student taking classes through Early or Middle College and need a Chromebook, hotspot, or calculator, please talk to your principal or counselor.

GAMBRELL FOUNDATION:

• If you received a Chromebook through the Gambrell Foundation, it is yours to keep.
• Chromebooks from the Gambrell Foundation will have a sticker indicating that they are Gambrell Foundation devices.

RETURNING EQUIPMENT:

• Semester-long equipment can be returned to any of the Central Piedmont Library locations
• 4-Hour Equipment must be returned to the location it was checked out from
