The NC STEM Alliance's primary goal is to increase the number of students completing degree programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
Our purpose is to increase the total number and diversity of students in STEM Programs of study at Central Piedmont Community College that lead to associate degrees, industry-recognized certifications, and/or transfer to four-year institutions and ultimately careers in high-demand fields. An ongoing emphasis of this undertaking will be to increase the representation of students of color and women students in STEM Programs. The goal is to increase the number of students in STEM Pathways at the College, particularly populations underrepresented in STEM Fields, address workforce demand, and prepare students for economically-mobile, family sustaining careers.
